THANKFUL

This is such a wonderful time of the year. As we have already begun to celebrate Christ's birth, it has reminded us how truly awesome He is! This year has been an amazing roller coaster for our family and we've been blessed with circumstances that caused us to grow closer to the Lord. We learned amazing lessons through the process and came out stronger than ever. It started in February when we received the referral of our Guatemalan blessing, Pearl. Seeing her picture for the first time via internet was a wonderful feeling! Two weeks later, we prepared for Sophia Rose's hip surgery. Praise the Lord the surgery went well and her hips look incredible. In July, our family met Pearl for the first time which was an emotional experience we will never forget. Literally five minutes after giving her back to her foster mother, we received a phone call from the US that cousin Adam was in a horrific car accident and we weren't sure he would live. Day by day he grew stronger and over one hundred days later, he came home from the hospital. The doctors believe this was a miracle and we agree! Perhaps one of the most joyful moments of the year came in September when our precious daughter came home. The births of Sophia Rose, Annabelle and Ava can compare to the feeling when Pearl was placed in our arms forever. We have been richly blessed. Our church family has been such an encouragement to us, our friends are the most giving, selfless people we know and our family has been supportive and loving throughout the entire year. Above all, God carried us through this year. When we were weak, He was strong for us. Thank you for joining us on our journey!
